The Minister of Tansport to sponsor the traffic safety graduation ceremony and inaugurate the training platform

With the aim of making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among the least 20 countries in the world with regard to accidents by 2030G

The Minister of Transport, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, has sponsored the graduation ceremony for traffic and safety engineers of the National Road Safety Center (NRSC), in the presence of the Chairman of the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), Eng. Saad Al-Shahrani, the SCE Secretary General, Eng. Farhan Al-Shammari, the director general of the Traffic Directorate, Major General Mohammed Al-Bassami and the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Ministerial Committee for Traffic Safety, Eng. Ali Al-Ghamdi.

The ceremony witnessed the inauguration of safety program concerned with establishing the principle of safety among society members through launching a number of programs and initiatives that contribute to the technical and awareness-building programs and the training and cooperative initiatives with the relevant authorities locally and internationally, in addition to inaugurating the Center membership, which aims to provide members with a number of services to such as training courses and providing a forum for providing support and related advice and briefing them on the last advances in the field of road safety to upgrade them cognitively and professionally. 

Eng. Al-Jasser has inaugurated the training platform concerned with providing electronic services through the center website, through which visible and readable training content is provided and it enables the beneficiaries to communicate and provide consultations. In addition, during the ceremony, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the National Safety Center (NRSC) and the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), which aim at the training of the engineers to be professionally licensed. The NRSC was represented by the Director General of the National Road Safety Center, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamdi, while the SCE was represented by the Secretary General of the Engineers’ council, Eng. Farhan Al-Shammari.
